The plane is heavier because of this big motor and collet, but still floats. I reinforced aileron and elevator hinge lines with hot glue to avoid flutter, so they are a bit stiffer than stock.

I angled the motor so the shaft points at the top of the rudder. This is to give almost hands off trim at wot. It helps with prop clearance, an 8 inch prop fits with a few mm to spare.
I have several inrunner and a 1500kv outrunner from my boats which i am sure would work well with similiar setup as yours...If you look at bixler the motor is angled up similiar to your setup...i have a micro-jet 2200kv on its way which should give me the performance i am looking for..i have 5x5,6x4 and 6x5.5 props coming also and will see which combo works best for me...thanks for sharing..

That motor comes highly recommended! Let us know how you like it.

@JLT I have no offset or tilt, seems to track straight.

I know it does..i used to have a Hawksky whch on stock setup goes pretty good, but a lot of guys installed a better prop and this micro-jet v3 and it turned their hawk sky into a rocket...Since the axn is 10% smaller then the hawk sky and imo a bit more durable...I feel it will be even a better performer then with stock setup..i can't wait to get my parts and see

I want to try a 6x4 3-blade prop.
Will the stock motor handle the prop ie amps/thrust?

Actually No. I think it looks like a lot of other V tail gliders; but not a CF.

I use sky 1800mah packs with some weights(about same as 4-5 quarters in weight) i taped on outside underside of nose...i would say if i took a 2200 pack and pushed it full forward there would be no need for any extra weights,,,but that's just my opinion ,i could be wrong...
