Thank you for the info, I only "sorta" get vase mode to work, sometimes the Z axis rolls along continuously, some times it jumps in layers. I never know what it is going to do, but I get the same shell that is super light weight!

I will try what you said, that is probably the answer to my misunderstanding.

The trick is in slicing setup. Zero top and bottom layers. A raft helps to keep things in place. Works with any object, but especially well with self supporting and parallel base and top surfaces, if you want them to be open.
