Hello my friends. Sorry haven’t been on lately. Dealing with cancer does bite. I started hormone therapy a month ago and that has it’s challenges. I start radiation next Wednesday and will be getting that until 17 July. God is in charge so I am not concerned at all. I look forward to seeing y’all at the Armada Aerodrome when I can get out. I picked 8:15 for my radiation so hopefully I can get out there and fly some.

I'm for breakfast, say Romeo Cafe . We could make it at 8:00 and get to the aerodrome just after 9:00 while the wind is still around 3mph. My info says that it is CALM at 7am. I don't think I have ever seen that before. It is only 6mph at 11am. I could make it even earlier to Romeo Cafe if everyone is on board.

Hi Ken, I tried to pay you via PayPal but the link you have in the post only brings me to an email. How do I get into PayPal to transact the $30 to you?

Here ya go. That was right after taping, the red is still nice and even! Should have added the red/white stripes to rudders, but never got around to it.

How about some words about the motor operation, ESCs and programing necessary for your transmitter.

All the specs and stuff are on the build thread starting at page 5 post 74: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...Beech-18/page5

Retracts, functional rudders, differential motors. emax 2812s and 7x6 props.

I guess to your question, Larry, the motors each have their own ESC, as while I have never tried it, "they" say that two brushless motors on one ESC won't work well, won't start together, etc. Separate ESCs are convenient (if crowded in fuse) as it lets me mix the rudder into the two motor channels for differential thrust. That helps ground handling a lot. The rudders themselves aren't particularly effective - the original dtf 30" span version was aileron/elevator/motors only and flew fine. I think I have about 10% rudder mixed in positive only in each throttle channel. It is on a switch, as I find it isn't required or even wanted in flight. Was a fun little programming exercise, and pretty easy in ersky9x on my 9xrPro.

Thanks Mike

I think a lot of the guys will find it very informative.
