I was at Stoney yesterday and the parking lot entrance to the flying field has 3 feet of snow blockig the entrance. It will be a while, unless we can get them to clear it...might be worth a try. Looks like the Washington field is our best bet now.

Well that didn't work, plane kept nosing over, so I modified the landing gear and I will have to try again next week.

I only had a little bit of time before I had to go get the kids from school, so I bent them up quick and hot glued them to one of the bulkheads, I still need to drill some holes and sew them on solid, for indoor I think the glue would hold, but for outside I think thy need to be held on with some thread also.

I'm going to call Stony Creek today and ask them to remove the snow bank at the entrance. They've done this before for us.

yep, Northville.

From the article I read they sunk 2 mill into this place and believe me it shows !

I got my eye on the laser cutter, 3D printer, vacuum former and machine shop.

From the eastside it would be a drive .....

Greg. About 7:30. We help put away some chairs and tables to clear the flight area. There can be a short fly time about 8:00 but mostly we sit around and talk till about 9.

I should be there about 7:30

I already asked if they would remove the snow pile and they said when they eventually get around to it. They might do something by the weekend.
Bob

Another nice morning to fly in SEMI. A pack through the QuickSilver on the last remnants of the big drift behind the barns. Two packs through the Alphajet. I finally got into doing the high alpha flight it is named for. My 1300 mah nanotecs are showing their age though. Packs that originally lasted 8-9 minutes now only go 4 minutes. Ah well, entropy works.....

May try zippys next time. Anyone else used them in larger sizes?
