That is a discontinued motor, that may be why you cannot find any specs for it. The Scorpion pages for discontinued motors says or implies that more info may show up there eventually:

http://www.scorpionsystem.com/catalo...hk-40/hk-4025/

Maybe an email to them can get you the specs...

Thank Jack.

Saw that, thought it was odd to see a "coming soon" for Discontinued motors.

That is funny, cuz I have been looking for the distributer for my Ford motor for a while now too. Took it apart some 15 years ago. Wanting to get it all together to give to someone now.

P.S. Dr. K. can delete this if he wants. Just having a bit of fun.

It has not been closed but the activity level has been low, if you post to it the people that have subscribed to it will see your post when/if they view their subscribed threads.

The default behavior here is that if you post to a thread you are also subscribed to it. And if there is a post to that thread, even years later, you will see it when you click on the My Rcgroups link in the top left corner.

Jack, another motor a way overachiever. Crushes the 4 W/gram by a mile. Used on F27 Evolution at 4S, over 1200W at 120 grams. Cobra CP2814 2000kv Race Wing Motor, here are specs, followed by my Castle log. Motor flies cool, absolutely rips. Higher output on graph propped up to 7x7 vs first 6.5x6.5, on 1800mah 4S 65C,

Interesting, I've changed your file from a *.bmp to a *.jpg and attached it so it is easier to look at.

I have only older CC ESCs so I don't get the log option, but I usually have an eLogger involved so I get all the data and more (entire power system and not just the ESC).

In that first long flight it looks like the ESC temp was getting up to 180F or so, which ESC is that?

I'm looking for some good , low priced 30cc size motors that can swing a 21" prop, and generate about 2500to 3000 W.
Best bang for the buck.
So far I've found Suppo, T-Motor , Emax, SK3.
These motors run up to 10s, I would prefer 12s, since I have a lot of 6s batteries.
Would they burn up on 12s?
Are there any others out there in the marketplace?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rdimand
The power (1200W ?) is not continuous
Some bursts of 5 seconds
The rule of thumb 3W/g is for continuous for 20/30 minutes long flights (or on a bench)

Hi Clearprop
To have an idea you can play-predict with freeware Scorpion Calc
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=736782
First try
Select 12S LiPo
S 5525-170 (measured Kv 173 rpm/V) .. weight 625g
Prop APC 21x14 E
You get results
Power 3765W current85A @ 44.3V
Static thrust 10.5 kgf
That test can show you (edit the motor parameters) the perfs for any custom or any brand motor
But you need Rm(ohm), Io no load @44V , Kv and the weight

Note: not easy to find a low Kv around 160-170 rpm/V that is not too heavy and too powerful.
That is coming from your high voltage (desired)
Louis
