September 12th 2011 meeting minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:03pm by club president Chris Zangl, with 8 members present.

Secretary's report : was read and approved

Treasurers report : Financial report was read and approved, Current paid membership is at 74

Sod farm report : Formal report was not given, but i believe there is still good conditions.

Quarry field report : Formal report was not given, but i can report the Field is in great shape.

Old business : None to speak of

New business : It is believed the chuck fest was a success even with the scattered showers, it is believed that they had 20 or so pilots at the event. The little chute library is reserved for next years meetings. The club will be having the city of Appleton do a study to find the options available to us and the associated cost for power to be ran to the shed or shelter, we should see some numbers soon. The show and auction is scheduled for March 4th, a motion was made and unanimously approved to hold it at monarch gardens in Appleton. The monarch gardens will have plenty of tables, huge parking lots, more room than ever before, and they will have breakfast as well as lunch available. We will be needing some volunteers at the next meeting to help out Tim with this years event, it is way to much for one person to handle as well as doing the books and taxes. Also at the next meeting we will be in need of nominations for club officers, if we have no one volunteer for these positions a few have stated they would stay on, but then we will need to change the VAM bylaws since the people have already served the 2 year maximum term. Only a few more nights of combat are left the 19th and 26th, bring a plane out to join in or come out to watch. Since the October meeting will have so much to cover and be such a important one to attend we will be sending out for pizza, so make plans to attend!
