First flight with my Mikrokopter

This weekend the weather was perfect to test my new Mikrokopter!

I have no experience with heli-flying but I had the MK reasonably well under control, but it takes a lot of concentration. My experience with aeroplanes helps me but it also hinders me. When I fly backwards for example, I have a strong tendency to reverse the controls as the MK comes towards me.

First MK Flight (2 min 10 sec)

After a few flights I decided to install an FPV camera and TX... I am sure it is going to be a lot of fun and a very nice platform for aerial photography and FPV!

I broke one prop and one leg of the landing gear, but it was a very satisfying day!

Nice and stable. Looks like a lot of fun. I may be doing the same thing with your arch nemesis the UAVP soon.

Hate to bug you but I have a question ?

What kind of alarm system do you have for your battery getting low ?

I've look at some other videos of those type of RC and when the ESC
turns off the motors because of low voltage . The fall out of the sky and
brakes things.

I think I have a solution for that. If you would take a gryo chopper
blade and mount it in the center and above the electronics So when the
motors turn off the blades of the gryo chopper will free wheel and slow
down the rate of fall. It mite help on the amount of damage to the
Mikrokopter. It mite take two of the blades mounted 90 deg to make
it work better.

Just an Idea I haven't seen any one else try it. Its probably a bad one.

Somewhere I see where someone took and used a CO2 cartridge to
launch a parachute . It didn't look very good to me.

All very advanced what you propose
There is a beeper that starts beeping when the tension becomes too low. You still have time to land before the system shuts down the motors, but not a lot. When flying FPV or far away you might not hear the buzzer. For FPV you could have an OSD and I have been thinking about a visual warning like navigation lights that start to blink.
