1000kv is too low. Your prop is limited in size to 6". The lower the kv, the bigger prop you need. The 1100 battery is a little on the small side as well. These are the best items for this bird:

Motor - Turnigy 2826-6 2200kv

Alternate motor - 2212-6 2200kv (Baasically the same motors)

A good 30A ESC

APC 6X4E prop (or a generic equivalent like this)

And at least a 3S 1300 lipo. 1600 to 2200 is better.

great plane to build

My recent build.
I haven't installed any gear yet.
All the paint is water base acrylic from Walmart Craft Section, brushed on straight colors, no thinning...

Decals I comondeered from Sig Kobra kit.

Thank you Nic

Maidened this F16 today!
Flies like it's on rails! Rock solid even in windy conditions.

I'm using a Glacier 1800 mah, 3 cell battery.
Motor from Buddyrc.com is a SunnySky X2208 S-2000kv & APC 6X5.5.

The rudder has tons of authority! I can turn, then level back up using a small amount of rudder only.

The roll rate is mad!!! It will roll twice before any elevator input is needed.
Pitch up the nose slightly and it will roll 4-5 times before level flight...

Love it!!!

I installed the tip of a clear ball point pin so to see the receiver red light.

Thank you very much.

cut the templates for the 120% version. Going with EPP(15, 9, and 3mm) in the vain of the Twisted Hobbies F22. Looking for a bigger tougher bird that will work with a 3 or 4cell. Once I get all the parts cut from EPP and know the weight, will start the hunt for a powerplant.

parts cut and test fit. As shown weight is at 244g. I used 15mm EPP for the horizontal surfaces and 9mm for the verticals and undercarriage.
