Cool
Finally!!!!
Well after sanding, painting, sanding some more, not liking what I saw, painting again, sanding, painting, sanding, and then sanding again. It's finally done.
Guess I'll stick some 4g servos and a 10g outrunner in there to set some speed records!!! B p.s. I will be using Gary's hold down setup for this ride as it will be the easiest to get to the powersystem for switchouts. I saw Gary's and it held down real nice and tight!!! |

I got the F16 kit from eflypower.com but its the same one you can get from HobbyPeople for 99 bucks.
I just went the extra mile by glassing the entire body, sanding, and painting the heck out of it. I plan to put the new ARC 1T motor in there as well as a 4S run and a 5S run with a 6904 EDF. Maybe a Wemo run in there for fun as well. Quote:

Looks good, it appears like you clipped the wing tips but didn't clip the LE too, so now the wing tip chord is longer than the original and/or scale size.

looks great. I personally have yet to see an edf that has any speed.....without going to some enormous battery.
as soon as i find one...i am in. so...if you can get this baby to do 100 mph on a standard 3 cell lipo....please let us know. everytime someone shows up with an edf at the field.....i wind up dissapointed....not enough guts. and i understand that it is not that easy to upgrade the powersystem...cause you are stuck with the diameter of the fan? herb |

I've actually just got the 28-48-1 motors which are the newer versions. The length has been extended a tiny bit and I believe the motor ends up being about 200-300 higher Kv.
