Inexpensive 2.4ghz programmable radio system now with Rx's available separately

see my post here:

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=212

complete radio system $42.49US
rx and satellite alone $16.52US

you program this radio using your windows PC or notebook...bind as many rx to the tx as you want. unlike regular computer tx's you can store and load an infinite number of heli or plane setups

screen shots of the programming utility showing what you can program
here:

radio manual here: http://www.helipro-rc.com/download/RADIO%20MANUAL.pdf

I don't suppose you could bind one of these receivers to a DSM2 (Spektrum) TX, could you? That would cut out the single most expensive component to a new heli for those of us who missed this radio deal and bought a Spektrum

i don't know if they are compatible....maybe probably not.

yeah i've seen lots of ppl bitching about the Spek rx pricing.

enter the competition...

let's see what effect this has

the real point is, now you don't have to bleed to get your
piece o crap micro/mini trimmed and flying right.

dunno how you did that G it's right on the rx page and here again:

Specification:
Receiver: 2.4GHz
Operating Voltage Range : 4.8-6v
Operating Current : 30mA
Resolution : 10bit
Latency : 22ms
Net Weight : 12g
Packing Weight : 36g

hm guess the size wasn't there so i measured it:
lenth x width x ht

rx: 1 3/4" x 7/8" x 3/8" plug area is 1/2" high

satellite: 1" x 11/16" x 1/4"

if the cases are taken off and it is shrink wrapped it can be much thinner...except for the plug area

satellite. secondary receiver that assists main rx....like almost all 2.4ghz systems have. you orient then at right angles to each other and it improves reception quality under any orientation

at http://www.hooked-on-rc-airplanes.co...pectrum.html#4
where u will find more info about spread spectrum radios.....

"Why Two Receivers?

Because the wavelength of the 2.4 GHz frequency is so small it can't go around objects very well. The 2.4 GHz signal can be easily blocked by metal objects on the airplane such as the engine or landing gear. A second receiver is added to the system so that at least one of the receivers will have a clear unblocked signal from the transmitter."

Thanks for the explanation. Does the 12gr rx listed weight include the weight of the satellite? Hey, thanks for the interesting post...
