Crane Barge - Owners model

Haven't had a lot of time to work on my boats lately, but
that doesn't mean I haven't been modeling.

Yesterday Gunderson Marine presented the owners of
Manson Construction with a model of their new crane barge, EP Paup.
The cloth cover was barely raised above the waterline when a huge
"gasp" was heard through the room. Apparently the president is a huge
model enthusiast, but no one at Gunderson knew this..

Anyway, I had some help with the accomodation module, I had a friend and
associate build that up while I worked on the crane and barge. I steered the
level of detail, and this was really the first major deployment of my efforts
toward brass etching.

The model is 1/190 scale, and was dictated by the request for a 24" long model. Ten weeks of work, by two people. ... It's okay...

Enjoy

Nice work, Congraulations to you both

I Love when just after the barge hits the water the to push tugs come in, one average size I guess but at bottom of screen what almost looks model sized comes in next to it to collect all the sleepers, cute.

Fantastic work, Ami. So, will you bring the model barge to Foss Cup next August, so I can push it around with the Ginny D?

No, sorry, but you can probably see it in the Manson office in Seattle.

Outstanding Umi. I'm sure Manson Construction is very proud of both new barges.
