Slip the surly bonds...

Can I just hijack this thread for a moment JJ? The other plane in the BMFA article is Trevor H's Sealand, built another Ivan's plan. We were demonstrating to the Water people that model flying was acceptable. It worked really well, and we will be flying there from 1 Jan. I can strongly recommend the Ivan's Twin Otter, and indeed all his plans. The Twotter has a cut parts set which you can find on the thread that LukeZ mentioned. The video is a perfect advert for these lightweight, agile, responsive models.

End of interruption...

4jflying, I used bog standard servo's (which is entirely overkill!) if sticking with 1 aileron servo I'd keep it quite big, else 18gm ones should be roughly about right unless you massively overpower

walllis_100 mine is from anton eisele and takes 480 size motors but i was thinkin about using .10 brushless motors. Do you think that would be a little bit over kill? Also do i need to use a left and right handed pitch props ? This is my first twin engine plane, and second scratch built plane. Thanks for the help.
