Engine Manuals In PDF - Please Post Dated Manuals Here

Looking for someone to take over moderation of this thread . My eyes are failing me .
I have not figured out how to do it , it who to talk to .

Ran across this web page - very cool
http://sceptreflight.net/Model%20Eng...sts/Index.html

Post your out of print or discontinued manuals here and I will link them through this post by model number . Also I have a question , Should we archive the manuals that are posted online by the manufacturer now . For instance th OS70 surpass 2 is no longer made will the manual go offline soon?

I have been in this sport for 20 years now and I can not tell you how many times
I have searched for an engine manual . Some manufactures have them some don't .
To have them avalialable here in PDF would be nice , wound'nt it ?
If you can;t scan to PDF form then scan a big JPEG file and I can convert it to PDF .
I think we should do this and make it a sticky .
Please lets get it going , what do you think ?

Got started , if you find mistakes or want to help please PM me .
I am collecting the rare and discontinued Manuals in a file and will get them
Posted here as I get them .I just got one Discontinued manual for the Saito
FA 270 from a seller on Ebay . I just asked him and he copied it and mailed
it to me , very nice guy . Now I just have to scan it to PDF and post it .

I plan on scanning all of the older manuals I run into. Those are the ones I've had in my hands so far that I wasn't able to find online.

I have a good link with manuals of various engines I'll post as soon as I find it.

If you email Hobbico they sometimes have older manuals that for some reason aren't scanned in. I asked for the old 1981 FS-40 manual and got it.

in case you haven't seen it, there's a sticky on 'the other forum'...ken

"If you have an older O.S. Max engine, and need the instructions for it, but they're not listed on the O.S. Max Website, please send an email to the address below, and we'll send you an electronic copy in Adobe "pdf" form.

If the particular engine's instructions are not available because it's too old, we'll let you know.

When I loss my OS FS90 manual I emailed OS usa (hobbyco) and was sent a manual by email. It even has extra stuff that my original manual did not. Such as which screw is reverse rotation and how to set the timing when you repair it. They OS usa have great service. I am very happy with them and my FS90 which is quite a performer with the right prop and plane. I use a APC 12-9 but it is right only for my plane or one similar.

I am interested in doing an old timer ( armchair ) plane for when I just want to relax
and have fun . The FS-60 is one of the engines I am looking for but I may use an
old OS 90 with the push rods in the back of the engine , which I have found and
purchased . I will have to do some work to it but I want a vintage looking engine
for the project . Thinking about a Comet or a Spook

Fs90

This should help you with your rebuild. I am not sure if the FS90 had the left hand screw or that it was only on the FS60 and FS75. Never saw a FS75.

Thank you , that is the one I have

I am also looking for an old , first run with the big fins Saito 120 and 270 .
I think I have a 270 manual coming , I contacted a seller on Ebay that was
selling one and he said he would make copies and send them to me .

Question about my first post .
I want to list the manufacturer and then model numbers of engines , using
the model number as a link to the archived engine manual . I can do this
using my web site for the archive . Is there a way I can do this using RCgroups ?
You know you could use a PDF post but it would take up tremendous space and not be very neat .
