***Sea BB 42", 34" & 26" Plans, Build Guide, Pictures, and Videos***

As promised, here are the plans for the Sea BB at the conclusion of the Blu-Baby Tribute Design Contest.

She was designed around the 42" UC wing version of Tony65x55's very popular Blu-Baby, and its innovative monoblock design.

Built per the plans you will have a very gentle and slow flying seaplane, that gets off the water with very little effort, and is very relaxing to fly. It is not an aerobat by nature, but will perform basic manuevers.

There is a build guide coming along that is nearly complete, along with plans for a 26" version. A 33" version has been requested, and will by released in the near future.

Enjoy and post your work, progress, and questions. I will answer as often as possible.

Thanks,
Ken

SeaBaby is Outstanding

Ken... Congratulations on your design of the SeaBaby. It is a winner for sure. The SeaBaby will become a classic and deserves it's own thread.

Great Job. Bob

Nice job Ken, in both the design and finish. And super nice job on the plans.

Do you have a link for any videos?

I kind of wished you hadn't posted this. I already have a long build list and this will have to go to the top.

Already, who's going to be the first to do a 200% with KFm3 wing?

You have the "winner".

Thanks for the plans.
Now I can figure out how that motor mount works.

The Sea BB should make a great grass lander and snow mobile. LOL

Thanks for the kind words my friends. I am looking forward to all that can be done with this one. I think a twin engine wing should not be too difficult and look more like the Widgeon.

Lets cut some foam,

Building the wing.

This is the link to a mini build log that I did within the Blu-Baby thread on adding dowel rod to the LE and TE of an undercamber wing. The wing that it was demo'ed on is the wing for the Sea BB.

Paul,

Thanks! I found that out when I powered up to get on plane and she popped out of the water heading into shore (in the video).

Nice work Ken. It is on my list, 2 planes away, maybe one.

I have run out of equipment to build additional planes so I will need to place an order soon. Rx's, ESC's, motors, servos, the works. It will have to be done though. Planes must be built.

Looking forward to it. Thanks for the plans.

Rob...
