My first FFF-eagle build


Here is a quick demo flight of the fff-eagle. thank you guys here for build plans and lots of tips. this is one fun bird/plane. setup with V-tail and ailerons. 50% differential on ailerons. LOTS of down thrust on motor. one of my favorites..

Motor ---- 400 speed (probably little big but I like the extra umph
Prop ------ 10x6 (probably little big but I like the extra umph
esc ------ 20 amp HK
battery----- 1.3 milliA
servos ------4 HK 9 grammers
foam ---------- 2 sheets fff 1 sheet dollartree
control rods --- 18 gage floral wire
control horns --- cut from plastic gift cards
materials ----- hot glue,packingtape, Popsicle sticks,rubber bands
all up weight ------- 24 oz

I extended my fuse 3.5 inches for a total length of 26.5 in. The tail control surfaces I made about an inch longer length. (I like bigger control surfaces). Other than that all else the same. I also added more detail info on my post.

Tried to test flght the new built wing & fuselage of the gull in the field this morning,but gave up dued to strong seasonal wind,so took some pics instead
often hearing people saying from the threads that gull wing planes are not good stuff for RC fun dued to the wing configuration,but some people in the "SLOPE"
forum loved the birds
here's the vid done last year with my old....old gull

Take a look at this thread. The silhouette could be made more exact but it is a flat wing that has some possibilties and flies great for what it is.

I love flying this model. Very simple to build. Here are some photo's.
The silhouette on the original design (Plans posted) were more life like.
I built the "Extreme" but I will build the original design when time permits.

I love this thread!!!
