I am building one of the FFF Eagles from the plans here on this thread. I am going for a RET setup. I would like the servos to be inside the bird for appearance. How do you run the control stick from the servo to the rudder? It must be easier than I think, but this is my first airplane with the servos inside the body.
Thanks, Ray |

That falcon is way cool!! Blue falcon you win That will be hard to beat. That "simple bald eagle " is one mean looking bird, great job on the face. Every time I go to this thread it just amazes me at how quickly ideas can evolve on this forum. Great stuff. I just got back from E Fest, wish some of you guys could have been there. We had six birds up on Sunday. Higher Plane Productions shot some video of them which hopefully will be posted soon. http://flightpass.higherplaneproduct...2_itemId=27648) What a great thrill it was to see all of those birds flying at a major indoor event. The Armory was kind of small for the 60" birds but the pilots did a good job keeping them out of the pits. We were given 3 minutes to put the birds up but once they all went up everyone else quit flying to watch the birds. At the 3 minute mark I asked if I should have the pilots bring the birds down and he said " no go ahead and keep flying ,look at all of camerman on the flight line". We flew for at lest 10 minutes then Mark from http://2dogrc.com/ecommerce/os/catalog/index.php said "turn around" and I did, then he said " How does it feel to have everyone watching your planes?" Like I said what a thrill. Jeff and I spent well over 100 hours in the last 2 weeks to get all of the birds and kits ready for the show but it was worth every minute. Here are a few more pics of some of the birds that went to E Fest 2009:
I also have a video of the maiden flight of the Macaw. You will have to scroll down towards the bottom of page and look under the airplane category to click on the video because it can not be linked. http://www.purdystuff.com/ChicagoParkflyers/#Videos |

Lee, The planes flew great. We had them in the air all weekend. Everyone told us that we had the coolest thing at the show. Most people that flew them compared them to a slow stick. The small bird ended up being 4 oz and we had one there that anyone who wanted could fly it. I am working on ailerons for the larger version and will probably just put a PDF file on the DVD on how to modify the design so it will roll. As far as sales go we sold out on the kits and the 3 hawks and eagles that were built, painted and stuffed sold first day for $250.00 each. The red, white and blue eagle I sold to a fellow club member who flew it all weekend for us. We had a good show as far as sales go but had a great show as far as marketing goes. AMA magazine is going to do an article on the small bird, Higher Planes will have video on their site, almost every major magazine did an interview with either Jeff or myself, so really a great show in all respects. Anyone looking for kits I will have the 30" versions ready to ship this Friday. I will talk to Jeff and see if we can do a special price for those of you on this thread. Everyone on this thread has really helped to push the design ideas to a new level. We tryed to do a website but it is slow coming. Last night a club member offered to build a new site in the next couple of weeks. You can go to www.dreamitrc.com and email us for a kit. We should have a Pay Pal cart soon. Lee, I do a lot of the major shows, pm me if you want us to help market your amazing birds. I would love to add them to my flock (especially the Horntail)
