Hey guys (and gals?!), my contact inside Hobbico just confirmed to me that they do indeed have a RxR version of this one in the works. It should be available late spring.

And there is also more cool FlyZone stuff in the works too!

not trying to change the direction of this thread, but those of you who don't like pink stripes, save some money and use a perminate marker such as red or any darker color to cover up the pink color..just a thought..
now my question is this, what is the difference of the flyzone cessna and the hobbyking one? they look identical to me. even in the way the wing is attached. there must be something for such a big price difference? anyways nice reviews, i have too been wanting to get one, glad i waited as the price is coming down...tom

The only catch is it comes from Hong Kong so the shipping is $46. Still, $135 total is pretty good for a plug and play version.

What's with the "TT-MODEL" logo and stripes on this plane from hobbycity? I want stock looking decals like the one in this post.

the flyzone cessna has a less powerful motor then the one from hobby city. I have upgraded the motor from one from hobby city and it is so much more fun to fly.

I believe the basic plane is manufactured by Great Planes. In the manual, the parts are ordered through Great Planes, if I remember correctly.

I think that these are OEM's and each vendor creates their own kits to sell with different options and different prices.

Well it looks like the HobbyKing version just went back up to 109 bucks but I did a price check and with a 2.4 mhz radio (Spectrum dx5e), charger, and two 2200mah batts, it's still around 300 bucks compared to the Flyzone version. That's including the 65 bucks in shipping from China. I think I'll shop American and upgrade along the way. That's the way I like to do my modeling any how.

I hope they have a Cherokee 140 or Cessna 180 in the works.

Will pick up my sample from the LHS tomorrow. One question, can it be dissasembled so that it can be stored in its box? Also, if it is 72 MHz, I hope that I can use my own Futaba 7C, changing the RX crystal so that it matches my frequency. Any ideas?
