Will my Tucano fly the way I want??

I`m curently buliding a Profile Tucano, for a speed 400.
But now it all most ready to fly, then I started fiddling some numbers and got confused.
After all its my first atempt at desiginig a plane...
How wishes to fail the first time around

Here are the stat:

Fuselage: 74 cm / 29 in
Wing span: 78 cm / 30,7 in
Chord: 17cm / 6,7 in
Total w: 510g / 31,1 oz

Then the confusion sets in...

Will this fly with a speed 400 and a 8 cell 11oomAh?
How will it fly??

It sounds to heavy, doesn`t it ??

Mayby I`ll beef up the front a little and a .25 insted.

PS If anybody has a exel spread sheet with basic design parameters, please send it my way

Tucano

Insanety:

It does sound quite heavy for a profile model. I have a scratch built Tucano with a built up fuselage that has a 31" wingspan that weighs 24 oz with a 7x1300 pack on board. What are you building it with?

You will definitely be too heavy to fly with a DD speed 400. You might be able to get by with a Mega 16/15/5 and a 7" prop, but you are asking a bit much from a speed 400 with all that weight.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I'm confused, 510 grams does not equal 31oz.

31oz ~ 868g

510g ~ 18oz

If it really is 510g then your in the right ball park.
