Rant

Excessive emails from Hobby City/Hobby King

Is anyone else as upset as I am about excessive emails hawking their stuff from bargain hunter @ hobby King? I would not mind it so much if I could opt out, but I can't and there is no provision to change the email address or cancel the account.

Can anyone shed some light on this please ?

Tks in advance.

Upset ?? No....
They recently had a hiccup where they sent out 3 in the same day but since then I have seen one about once a week now.Maybe complain to support and see if they can't remove you from the list??

If it's R/C, it's all good.

Block them in your email settings.

They spam once in a while, the latest blast (3 in 15 minutes?) looked like a glitch. I set up my mailbox to nuke their mail anyway.

So no, not upset. par for the course for those folks, esp. the glitches.

Tks hp. Blocking worked.

I received a response from Hobby city. They will not have an option to remove your email from their account file, but they will have an opt out (unsubcribe) from the emails they send you. This a good start.

Yep, count me in. I am getting sales pages from them at least 2 to 3 times a week. They have a "remove me from subscribe" but the link doesn't work. I can't remove my info from their site and I have sent at least 5 messages to them to remove my name..

Blocking them only sends the message to the delete list.

Kind of like dog stuff on your shoe: the stink lingers.

What is the deal with their prices changing each time i go to their site. The other day i was logged in and was able to put an i charger 106+ in my basket at $97, then i decided i didn't want it and removed it, i log in today and its $109, i have noticed this on a couple other items as well? Does any one know why or how this works?

It's neither a game of skill nor a game of chance.
