Os 61 Fsr

Hello,

I have a practically new OS61 FSR Special Edition. I have been out of the hobby since 1989 and have mispaced the manual. Does anybody out there have one?
Thanks in advance.

I have the short verion memorized:

Mount it, fuel it, fly it.

Seriously though, it should be fairly user friendly. All the FSRs that I've ever run have been very easy to start and tune......and they make gobs of power.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the FSR is a 2-stroke.

edited to add:

I found this blurb on RCU, written by user Bax, a GP employee:

The O.S. Max .61 FSR Special Edition was just that: a limited-production version of the O.S. Max .61 FSR. It had a gold anodized cylinder head and the words, "Special Edition" embossed on the side of one mounting lug. Other than those two things, it was no different than the .61 FSR that had gone out of production a few years earlier. It was revived because they had a lot of parts left over and decided to make a few more engines rather than just sit on a large stock of parts.

I haven't found any pics yet to show it was a 2-stroke, however.

OS FSR engines are some of the best running OS engines and still demand top dollar on theBay, the only draw back is the mufflers tend to break the block mounting holes if there is a crash.
The only thing I ever had to do with My 45 FSR was replace the O ring on the low speed needle.

Sorry to rain on your parade but all OS FSRs are 2-strokes.

If you send an e-mail to OS usa (hobbyco) they will email you a manual.

Hello All,
Thanks to each every one of you for you help. I got lucky and found the manual in an old flight box. The 61 is now in a Carl Goldberg Super Chipmunk - will fly it this week end - weather permitting.

I have several old OS engines and they are the best.

I would never run it. That engine was made in limited quantities and has become a collector's item. They sell for big bucks.
