A-10 flies

I just ran into this neat little thread. One more project to add to the 10% or so of edf's that eventually actually make it to the air (and last more than one flight)

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...threadid=90645

The video is very nice, and the A-10 actually looks quite scale. Just maybe a few more minutes with the airbrush

Herb, yeah, that's the GWS, it's been it the works for a LONG time. I am downloading the video now, so I don't know what's in it, but the same guy posted flight pics before, he did a mod and made the rudders work, and had some shots of some great knife edges'...

I'll be adding my own to that 10% soon...

I'm thinking when it's up there flying, you'd be hard pressed to notice such things.

Hmmmm......those wheels aren't scale either!

I'm having one of these,my order is placed already, will be one of the first in the UK,around March so I'm told.
Can't wait!

How are you other guys planning to mod it up?
I think with a touch more power,it will haul the Robart 1./2 A retracts easily.

wonder if a couple of vasa 55 fans can be crammed in there?

Vasa 55s might require "Hogging" out some foam, but the Wemotec Microfans should drop right in since they're 50mm diameter also. I guess I'll find out.

I think the model - which as you can see from the video just barely flies- deserves something better...

Mine will fly with springair retracts, twin Vasa fans with twin MiniMoki brushless and 12 of the brand new HFRAUPX NiLIon cells . And of course a new titanium wing to compensate for the slight weight increase .
