I know I am not the only one wondering if the power system for the 47" (Omega 103, 45A esc, and hs-65mg) will be enough to power the 48". That is my plan and I don't have the cash to upgrade to a better motor and esc. I guess I'll keep everyone posted when I actually build the 48"

Sure, will work fine, but we know the internet crowd and how much power the average person wants, so we designed the 48" to take a whole bunch of power and 3D perfectly, so we'll be recommending the big power.

3D-Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a Bee.

This is the type of power Ben is talking about.

Metal Gear Servos

I've got 2 hs65MGs I'm planning to use in the elevator and rudder of the new 48" Edge. I've also got a few TPro MG90 servos sitting around. They work fine for the swash servos in a 450 heli - what do you all think of the cheaper MG90 servos in the ailerons, or is that complete, utter blasphemy?

I have used those in a 48" Plane before and had no problems, there are actually really fast.

I have not used the metal gear ones, but have used the regular sg-90. In the beginning they are fine, but after a while the centering gets worse and worse. I would invest in some nice HS-65mg servos if I were you. And use the tower pro servos in a foamy.

I had two MG90's for Ailerons in my 47 Velox that I just scrapped out.

They are fast but Noisy, heavy (14g) and never centered that great. I'm sticking with HS65MG's from now on.

Every time I try a servo that isn't a HS-65MG.....I am disappointed in the long run.

It's settled then, I'll grab a couple more hitec hs65mg's. They're small and easy to sneak past the wife so no big deal.

Super good looking airframe! Any specs. for this new 48" Edge available anywhere? I'm really curious to know the wing area, and wing loading or base airframe weight.
