Captain Norway, you're a genius...or at least devious! I like the way you think!

Jim,

That is very kind of you but I try never to fly others airplanes. I don't think I will dumb thumb em in but hate to be the one at the sticks when it glitches!

I understand. I feel the same way, although I'm steeling up some courage to fly DP's Slick.

BTW, our field now boasts the following 3DHS inventory: two 51" Slicks, one (at least) 47" Extra SR, three 55" Extra SHPs, one Sukhoi 26, one 47" Edge 540 (with another to be flying after X-mas ) and one 40" Edge on order. DP, let me know if I left anything out. So if you want to see a lot of 3DHS planes, drop on by!

Please check out our video of the new 47" Edge 540 on my blog. It was too windy to bo flying, but the airplane handled it really well.

Nice flying for a windy day Doc. I need to start playing with some of those high energy tumbles too. The Edge gives me enough confidence to try this Sunday.

Extreme Flight Torque 2818
Extreme Flight Airboss Elite 45 ESC
Thunder Power 4s 2600 Extreme 2 Battery
APC 11.5/5E Propeller

The Edge is designed for the 2818 and the 2814, byut even as sick as I am about overpowering planes, the 2818 is more than enough.....lots more. The thing is a raging little monster, and you can see that pretty clearly in the videos. I may scale back to 3s and take advantage of the added vectored thrust of an APC 14/7E prop. The edge is already prety light, but getting that extra cell's weight out can only improve the plane's floaty nature.

I need to get some more time on the plane, but I think it's possible 3DHS may have finally topped the SHP for the best overall 3D package. It's very easy to fly, and it's got all the practicallity of the rest of the 47" fleet.

I think this airplane is perfect on 3s with the 2818 900 kv and a 13x6.5 prop. It has more than enough power to do anything you want it to do.

With the 3s set up I had to add some nose weight to get it to balance, but you can't feel the little bit of weight.

This airplane is my new favorite 3s plane...

Austin, so how do you compare the Edge to your beloved SHP for precision and ease of flying? Thanks.

You forgot the 2 Katana's (one in recovery phase ), Velox, Big Katana, 2 47 SHP's, and two more 55 SHPs. (Davidsons, Russel, and kepople's fleet) They probably have some I don't even know about.

Steve has a couple of 55 SHP's we won't talk about.

Oh yea, I'm thinking about an EBT for my nephew's first plane for Christmas.

Don't know quite yet. The
Edge gets better and better every time out, so I need a few more flights. Right now it's pretty outstanding. I think I can probably get away with more stupid stuff than with the SHP.
