From the 3D Hobby Shop website:

This 47" Edge 540, developed by Scott Stoops, is a fantastic performer. Light KE coupling, no wing rock, excellent pitch authority, great all-around flight performance....all in a durable lightweight package. The Edge is really, really easy to assemble, too. The wings are easily removable, and ride on a strong carbon-tube wing spar. The landing gear is one-piece, molded carbon-fiber and mounts to a strong, composite-reinforced plate. The motor box is pre-assembled and pre-drilled and nutted for many popular 28-30mm outrunners. The tail feathers are fully-airfoiled for highest performance.

The Edge includes ball-link/phenolic control hardware, and is covered in genuine Oracover (Ultracote) covering. The green version is done in beautiful pearl metallic green. The red version is beautiful true red, just like the full-scale RedBull air racer.

Specs:

Wingspan - 47"

Wing Area - 450 sq. inches

Weight - 37-41 oz. depending on setup, lipoly pack

Spinner - 40-42mm or 1.75"

Use Hitec HS-65HB or HS-65MG servos. Long servo arms are required for full 3D throw.

The Edge 47" requires a brushless outrunner motor 108-148 grams weight. Good choices include: Torque 2818T-900 or Hacker A30-16M for lightweight setups with 3S 2100-2500mah lipoly packs. For more power, use a Reaper GR-35 on 3S or 4S, or a Torque 2814T-820 on 4S 2200.

The green one is very sharp (actually they both are). The green does not appear to be as fluorescent as the 40" version.

Good find Kevin!!!

I like it. Sounds like it will have that simmer to it like the pearl blue on the Slick. I might have to change my SR order for a green 47" Edge.

Looks like it harriers even better than the SHP.

Ben, is the rudder pull-pull on that?

Will the 4s 2814 package harrier almost as well as the videos? I'm working my harrier two full packs a day and the Edge looks like the best plane for that. I still want the thing to punch out like a Saturn 5, but right now harrier and hover work is my priority. I've got 3s 2200s if I need them.

Also, I'm guessing the 2600 Pro-lites would work well in this plane, right? This is great because the plane will use the same motor, esc, batteries and servos as my other 47" planes.

If harrier and hover is your priority, you really want to keep the plane as light as possible (3S 2818/900). There's plenty of power, and it makes doing high alpha stuff easier.
