New Product

B26 Marauder

I am starting a thread here for a 60 in span B26 Marauder builder's kit from Wowplanes, in pre-order now, and scheduled to begin shipping mid November.

Here are some pics of the prototype. The dark colored areas are plugs that will be replaced with plastic in the production version. Only one cowl plug is shown here and the top gun turret is missing. There will be much more detail added when the plastics are ready.

It is a scale 60 inch span. Tail surfaces are airfoil. The AUW is estimated to be between 3.5 to 4 lbs. Designed to fly with brushed or brushless motors, or even gas. Optional retracts also possible. The plane has plenty of room inside the fuselage for bombs bays and such other goodies. Full set of quailty plastics included along with 6 crew members.

Please take a look and give me some valued feedback on what you think and if I have got it right.

Thanks
Fahim

The rear ends of the nacelles, the nose foward of the cockpit. Both come as multi faceted cuts, so sanding is not a whole lot.

A little bit (about 1/4") for the belly curve.

All that took me about 30 minutes.

Very nice! You sure are pumping out some serious models. Hoping for the dollar to close the gap again. Postage is always the killer :-(

I think he means Elevator, Aileron, and Throttle, and Full house includes the Rudder as well.

Fahim, I think you just got the biggest compliment you will ever get. The master pre-ordered a kit. I think that says it all.

Congrats,
Jeff

Hi Fahim,

I have taken a look at your plane. Here is what I noticed so far:

1. Tip of nacelle (backside) should be around the centerline of the fuse and seems to be a bit higher with your version.
2. I an missing the gunpods at the lower side of the fuse (2 on each side). This is detailing but could be very nicely made in plastics, hence the remark.
3. The engine coverings on the nacelle seem to be round at this plane. It should have two air intakes on top and on the older models it is less pointy.... If you're doing a very early model (with more pointy and round engine coverings) the tail portion should be different (other shape rudder and also the tailgunner portion is longer).

Over all, the plane has a very good shape already I think. Good work so far!

I added some pictures for detailing and explenation.

Thanks. It is full house and more. Add retracts, flaps, bomb doors, nav lights, etc. This is a builder's kit hence very flexible.
