Ta da!

I got it finished in time to take it out on the street for a while, then we ran it on carpet and RCP track. I couldn't make the turns sharp enough on the track (I haven't added any weight yet) but it ran surprisingly well on carpet. I do prefer pavement though.

I ended up using the Plantraco servo receiver, and a Blue Arrow 3.7g servo. I had a Blue Arrow 5amp esc, but I #$%^&* accidentally toasted it when I shorted out the leads. So I grabbed a GWS 2amp, which seems to be doing the job. Most of my escs have the LVC pre-set for lithiums, so I had to dig deep into the older stuff to find one that cut off at 4.8v

Wiring the motors was easy. If you look really closely, the circuit boards are actually labeled M1+, M1- and M2+, M2- I kept the boards and their capacitors etc.

I did a fiberglass servo arm extension/saver as seen here. Hey, it's a great idea. I'm not ashamed to steal it

These are some lousy cell phone pics, but hopefully you'll get the idea.

Dan

P.S. I've been running this both on 2S 250 Lipo, and the stock (polarity corrected) battery. I timed my run this afternoon. Stock battery = 13 minutes! I was impressed.

This is a toy grade bike so it is unlikely you can get spare parts like you would on a hobby grade model.

He he, my german is limited to a coarse I took back in high school, don't want to think that far back. I can only remember "du bist...." and a couple of curse words. Not good for trying to communicate in German!

Good luck, let us know!

Hi,

Bought me a Repsol Honda version. Fun little thing. Running time with all stock is about 10 min. I added weight to the whole body of the rider and much better cornering without the crash bars.

So anyone else still playing with these bikes?

Cheers!

Funny. I just pulled mine off the shelf today to do a little driving. So, yeah, I'm still playing.

Where did you manage to find a Repsol? They're sold out everywhere...
