Hi guys, I'm new around here. Found this thread after searching for Silverlit bikes after I got mine and started modding it.
Anyway, I've had one of these about 1 1/2 weeks now.
I blew the first one up plugging in a lipo not realising the polarity was different (wish I had seen this thread then )
I was having so much fun driving it so I had to get another one...then of course I could start modding the first one.
Part way through doing the mods I found this thread which helped a lot! Thx
Anyway to the pics...
My super motard/superbike skid duke. :P
Done a few mods, mainly visual, cut back the cowling and added a headlight

Then got the modding bug, as you do...

WIP bike number 2 with CBR 1100 body bits in progress..

Hyperion Brushless 5300kv motor and esc, 10 tooth pinion, I think it should be pretty fast...
I was going to run 2 motors which fitted nicely and looked pretty cool, but the esc didn't like running 2 motors and 2 escs would be too bulky.

Steering servo bits...with direct steering mod, again untested...

Pulley tensioner...was a little slip, fixed. 8)

I'll update when more progress....
Please give me your feedback/advice.
Thx
Dave

Hi ps13boy!

congratulations for your modding!

regarding the cbr bike i think the bike not run correctly, if you put direct steering need to amortize the steering

for direct steering you will need to remove the steering connecting rod of the piece of lexan uniball , otherwise his motorcycle became uncontrollable

but I'm not fully sure, you already tried?

Great look, the tyres and body where are from?

I will put the photo of my Mv Augusta

I'm guessing it's be from the Tamiya CBR 1100 kit

Yeah that's the kit, the fit is pretty good, needed to shave off some bits here and there.
And about the steering, not sure what you mean by amortise?
I haven't tried it yet, but I used that piece of lexan so it has some flex, there is still some play/looseness in the steering which will help it centre. That's the plan anyway, I'm going to try it out soon, prolly crash into a brick wall and destroy it! lol

Thanks for the advice, I think you're right, I already killed the servo on the 2nd test run.
But it is very fast!
Got close to popping a wheelie, I think by moving some weight it will get there...brake seems to work pretty well, but no neutral unfortunately.
And no the direct steering doesn't work.
I'll try a thinner piece of lexan, if I can't get it to work I might try linking it to the handle bars...

We had a jump setup......

Youtube vid

and another one

Later in the day we removed the bars on the side and added some weight to the helmets which allowed us to get some very sharp turning going, unfortunately don't have any footage of this, but we were getting them to turn almost on the spot.

Been out with Silverlit today, I noticed it turned left better than right, had a quick look and had lost a weight of right inside leg, it does make a huge difference on how the bike runs, not been out with this bike for months now but really nice to drive on a 2 cell in standard set up

Hi all I have just bought 2 sets of these cells anyone know anything about them? I have a pack that I use that looks the same without the balancer lead which goes very well, and some very poor Losi ones (blue heat shrink wrapped ) and very pricey, these are 20c and a good price.
Cheers and a Happy new year.

I see... but the bike can lean more with the crash wheels and turn tighter because of it....

I really like your replica bikes... do have races with them or are they only for your personal enjoyment
