Most people just say they are having a pool put in, but DAG specified that it is a huge pool. I'm thinking he's getting ready for some float flying! (or perhaps an underground bunker for his next build )

I would have punched that stupid commentator in the face after that crash , because i dont know how the pilot could concentrate on the flying , or i would have told him to shut up before the take off . What a whackham commentator . It was like hes fault pfff.

He would have been finished awhile ago, but he has been documenting the construction of his pool on some Indiana Pool Website, and is trying to explain to them why he is installing 6 pool pumps, all powered by brushless motors. Add to the fact that they feel he is going overboard by running 4 pool heaters...

They don't seem to be getting it.

He opens it up to half throttle...err speed, it becomes a gigantic whirlpool. Full power, and it looks like a surfing pool.

Strategic Air Command with Jimmy Stewart is still a great movie!
Any of you guys who would like to read a really good aviation story about him, pick up a copy of

"Jimmy Stewart Bomber Pilot"

The story of his World War Two career as a B-24 bomber pilot, who served in combat in Europe.
A great read!

There's an entire section of the US Eighth Air Force museum dedicated to him in Savannah Georgia.

There's another really good book out with a story about him and many other World War two era entertainers titled "Duty, Honor,Applause"
A very good book and another great read

Hard to miss in a good book store, there's a Picture of Jimmy Stewart ad a B-24 on the cover.

I have the book Jimmy Stewart Bomber Pilot and definitely recommend it to anyone interested in aviation. I also have a DVD of the flying scenes fromStrategic Air Command that I copied when it was broadcast on Turner Classic Movies. It makes a good 30 minute video.

OT - While DAG is gone - Need some help.

Have to scratch build a glass cowl for my electric Bridi Tweety Bird. Where's the best source for material to make a mold from a balsa plug?

Sorry I'm asking here, but the quality of the people and info is in the top 5 of any group I've been reading.

Thanks!

Gino
