Been busy with the business and family this summer. He'll be back when things calm down.

Look at this video beginning at the 8:15 mark. Look how far the fuse with the wings slid from where the tail broke off.

Flying inverted with a wingspan that large just isn't a good idea at that low of an altitude.
No room to pull out.
I've flown a lot of RC sailplanes and full scale sailplanes and had "rollers" hit the wings at low level even with sufficient airspeed, and play havoc with the airplane.
Too bad for Mac's loss.

Hi folks. Dont worry about DAG's abscence. Having a break from the B 36 and this thread, will ensure that DAG is fresh and ready to carry on, when he chooses to get back. Im taking a trip back in time, to read through the thread again. I admire DAGs professionalism and skill. I especially like the way DAG has incorperated other peoples ideas and suggestions into the project, e.g the air tank bombs. And the Trolls have been a laugh. Rock on.

Very top of the page, second horizontal blue bar, look for "Thread Tools". Click that, then click "Show attachments in this thread"

enjoy!

LOL,
Wow I go away for a bit and the world turns upside down.

I have been slammed with my company, and in many good ways, my company has exploded with work. This week I was in Tucson on Monday, Phoenix-Tuesday, Seattle yesterday, and Portland today, then back to Indy tomorrow.

Between work and having a huge pool put in the backyard that took 7 weeks I have been 120% slammed.

I will try to get caught up, and read all the post and e-mails. That will take about another week. I have to get the 1919 read for NEAT, then back to the B-36D. I would say in another 2-3 weeks I will be back up to full speed on the 36.

Sorry for being gone, but the pool, and work just drown me.

Rock On!

Dag

It just occurred to me! If DAG didn't have to answer all of our questions his B-36 model would probably be flying right now!!
