MTP -Boxhead's

Boxhead created this plane over a year ago based on GPW's USAF ufo.
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...81#post6760781
I finally decided to make one.
Changed gear placements and WS is 15" instead of 16".
CG is 5" from the LE.
Good little flier. It handles wind well and looks pretty cool in the air
RTF weight is 3.5 ounces.
It is running on 2s with a 15g 2500kv and 5x3 prop.

Thanks Boxhead.

30 mins before sunset.
Rolls nice and likes to fly inverted.
I apologize for the quality.

Geeeeezzzzz..... Funold you have pulled out the Old, "M" "Tee" Plate. Yours Looks Fantastic in the Tractor version . She's not a bad little flyer either. I made the original from Meat Trays ( that's how I came up with the name. No meat but an Empty Plate .You have taken it to another level. Mate you have it at a very light Flying weight which is terrific. The original I still have with the J250 that powered her.

GPW's UFO was and still is one of the best alround flyers to GRACE these forums, I feel. ( Still have my Original ). He has inspired many, many planes to be designed and flown. From his UFO it inspired me to design the M Tee Plate then the Thunderstruck . I Tip my Hat to the Old Master .

If you get any video of it please share it with us. Here's a couple I found Buried in the Archives.

Thanks Funold " You have made my Day "

yes 6mm

It felt a little floppy in the middle. So I put some high strength packing tape underneath.

Glad you like it Box.
I'll try to get vid soon.
It flies just like your EDF50 version.

Can't wait to try 3 cell. I'm sure it will be a pocket rocket.
I just don't have one light enough.

Looks terrific Funold . Thanks for the Video. Fun is the name of the Game and it looks like your having BAGS of it. Its amazing how a couple of pieces of foam can give such enjoyment. Should be more of it I reckon.

funold thanks for the link but box is in trouble for a couple of reasons. Firstly how dare he not tell anyone about this plane and you just about have to load DOS to print it He is really good with scale and tile so I am going to PM him for tiled plans and see how I go (hope he doesn't read this first )

This fits perfectly into the SIMPLE build category

Box mine is going to be painted the same colours as a ladybird, for denise of course lol.

funold think I have found the elevons and tail section you used mtp5 ok? Box I got mtp3 and 4 to fit, I was just looking at it too hard Have a feeling this one will fly as good as the SD with the 2500kv motor Dekan put me on to, it's so fast with long flight times

Rudes, here it is tiled in A4 / 16inch for you as well as a 20 incher Tiled. Mate you should be good to go with that setup. Colored like a Ladybird. You'll drive the Menbird's berserk .
