DX6i monitor and 90 degree servos

I had to replace a servo today on my blade 400. The monitor on the DX6i shows the servos to be all in line. But the horns on the new serov doe not show to be 90 degrees. After using sub-trim to get the horn at 90 degress now my monitor screen does not show the servoes in line with each other. Is this correct or am I going about this all wrong?

Thanks

You need the pitch set in the middle, trim/subtrim centered, and the travel adjustments equal. Then put the horns on at 90 degree's. If unable to get on 90, then use a little subtrim. If you used subtrim, you need to go back to the travel adjustment for that servo to get the travel equal to the others.

Put the subtrims back, take the servo arms off with the servos powered and the monitor showing them at neutral, put them mechanically as close to 90° as you can, then try again. You might need a bit of subtrim, but the bulk of the job should be done mechanically. Oh, if the horn you're using with the new servo sits a long way off, try the others that came in the pack with it... often they have their splines moulded in at several different angles, and one is likely to be bang on.
