Hmm, I'll have to get a feel for how easily it wants to nose over during taxi testing. I would rather have it stick to the ground that jump into the air before I want it to.

What kind of roll and pitch rates can I be expecting?

When they say the nose drops during approach does that mean it needs a steep approach to keep speed up or that I will just have to hold a decent amount of elevator?

Roll and pitch are totally normal and comfortable for a scale airplane. You won't need any rudder either.
An aircraft with a forward CG will pitch more with speed than one with a more rearward CG. It will fly really slow but require more up elevator during slow flight than a sport plane. More even than a trainer. It is very slippery so it won't need much power on approach.

I may have to use the flap switch to set some landing and takeoff trims but I plan on doing the initial flights all manually. Its not uncomfortable for me to hold half elevator for long periods of time.

Would you recommend taking the wheel pants off for the first flights? I have a runway but I might need to land on the grass for the first few times if I cant get her to slow down enough.

I made one flight pantless. The plane flew fine but looked terrible. Unless your runway is really short, I'd fly with pants.

Decals went on tonight...

Another question:

Does the bottom of the wing have the N number and number 7 on it?

Thanks guys,

I got all of the big 7's on and outlined in black trim and this ship is looking awesome. The decals really distract the eyes from the wrinkles in the covering . I have the large N numbers cut out and they will go on tonight or tomorrow depending on how many beers I have after work. Not looking forward to putting the black trim on.

That looks beautiful! I hope it flies as well as it looks.

My kit is still in the box, tucked safely under the bed in the spare bedroom. One of these days....

Good flying,
