You can get either just the sensor or the sensor and the controller. If you only buy the sensor you wont get any of the flight stabilization features of the CPD-4.

Bill at EagleTree is currently working on an adapter board to make connecting it to the OSD Pro easier. Currently it requires splitting some of the wires on the sensor's cable.

I'm waiting for the adapter board and firmware change that will allow mounting the CPD-4 in the 45 degree configuration. For that demo video in front of my garage I had it mounted on a "prototype" plane that I have since scrapped.

I don't know why I read his comment as being the sensor only, but you're right he said the CPD-4.

Oh no!!!! You didn't change that did you? I thought the osd-pro was going to be able to have both, it should. I use ground distance to gauge how far away I am and at what point in a turn I start coming back home, important to know when there's wind, especially if I'm flying crosswind. Also when I'm flying high, I use ground distance to know when I'm getting too close before I hit the nulls of my antennas. You can't fly directly overhead with verticals. Lastly, if for some reason the camera quits and all I have left is instruments, it would be nice to know that I really am heading back home and not loosing altitude since altitude is a variable in computing LOS distance. Ground distance is what it is, no other variables.

Bottom line, you've got to have the option for both.

Or could you change it back and post two download options? One for line of sight and one for ground.

I don't like to see so much data in the view. And you want an AHI in the center...

It'w will be great to implement "pixel" adjustment of the displaying values, not only select from fixed pozitions. For example, if we talk about simple OSD Expander, there are many free space below of displayed values on the bottom of the screen. It seems that displaing values can be placed much lower!

For example:

What cameras are you guys using?

Can someone post links to video with OSD and the camera used? I just want to keep buying stuff that is incompatible time and time again if indeed that is my issue.

But it doesnt make sense why it would only fail going through the OSD but not directly???

Any assistance is greatly appreciated

you know these forums are great to be in, no one is fighting with anyone, no politics just a group of guys who share a passion, maybe it RC guys in general?

Wind was 0 last night but there were a lot of clouds so I didnt mess with the AHI. Then the wind came up to 15+ real fast and I had to land. 7.46 Seems to work well.
