Teamsherman,
Your OSD is working. Try this. Hook up OSD, as it would normally be hooked up (in the plane). Power up OSD, e-logger, etc. with battery, and then plug in USB to computer. Open firmware with everything already hooked up, and powered up. Update Firmware, *Now: on your OSD setup, each parameter displayed has the number of pages that you want to display them. Make sure that they have at least a 1 in them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Do your computer thing in setting up the OSD display, and click OK, and make sure that it goes through the update process. (you will know because there is a completion bar that will pop up. After that: Forget the Live mode, go into the OSD menu, and set each parameter that needs to be set. through the OSD Menu. This will work for you. __________________________________________________ _______________________________________________ When setting up Tracking antenna, you need to do that through the computer, but the OSD responds very well to the On Screen Menu. Hope this Helps. -Mike |

Referring to the first video. If you still have problems you may try reversing the channel in your RC radio that you have plugged into aux1 on the OSD. You also may need to adjust the subtrim and/or travel of that channel. Referring to the second video. Some USB ports do not have enough current to power the Eagletree setup. Try a different port that's on the computer and not a hub. Also some cables have really small wires that can cut down the current a little. Try a different cable. Do you get the sound from the computer that a device has been connected to the USB when you plug in the eLogger? Steve |

Hi Thomas, I don't even bother to connect the static port on the pitot-tube to the airspeed or altitude sensors. I just use the cabin pressure and it works well. My airspeed does drift a little higher if the sensor temp gets up over 100f or so. The altimeter (V3) doesn't seem to be as affected. I'm not sure what you mean by a "dampener." I tape a piece of card board in front of the staic input of the sensors so no cabin airflow hits the opening. I'm careful to not block the opening. Is that what you mean? Steve |

the hole in the end is the ("high pressure") velocity pressure and must be in "clean" airflow. its better to mount the tube as far out as possible. cheers Thomas |

i use a piece of a used sponge rubber from an aquarium filter. but every kind of sponge which is permeable to air will do. due the greater resitance the dynamic peaks in the pressure will be filtered but continous changes will be come thru. i pushed a short piece of tube in this sponge and connected the tube with the silicone tubings to the sensors. cheers Thomas edit: have to go in the basement to make a photo 2nd edit: ... a picture is more than 1000 words |

TeamSherman, I'm afraid that the news is not good, if I understand correctly. If the OSD does not show up in "Firmware Control," or the eLogger locks up when the OSD is connected, the eLogger is not able to communicate with the OSD. The cause could be a damaged OSD cable. But, more likely the ground interruption (or other) that caused the high current flow through the Guardian also damaged the eLogger and/or the OSD. One simple troubleshooting step is to measure the voltage between the red and white wires of the OSD, when connected to the eLogger. This should be 5V. If it is not, traces/components in the eLogger have been damaged. If there is 5V, either the eLogger's or OSD's data bus ports have been damaged. Unfortunately, aside from opening the cases and looking at the traces/components of the units, there's not much that can be done remotely. We can inspect the equipment here if you open a ticket with us at http://ticket.eagletreesystems.com.

The next big feature we will be releasing is serial PPM (PPM sum) support, which is our #1 requested feature right now, and the goal is to have it released next month. Of course, the Dragon and Scherrer systems will be fully supported. Anyone using the S.bus? Any other s-ppm receiver requests? |

i don´t know how many scherrer and dragon customers are out there. as i wrote some times before ... the issue "incompatible gps/spectrum port" on the logger should be solved first. it´s ugly to have gps but no rssi or rssi but no gps! cheers Thomas |
