FMA FS8 Copilot receiver RSSI out

Tried several email to service at FMA with no reply on the location of RSSI
output on their receiver included with this unit. Anyone got any info on this?

The pin is the not connected one from the picture.

hi, just got my new OSD today .. i have this RX and i have not much understanding ...

what does it mean that the output is buffered ? do i have to do something about it ?
can i just iron a wire from this pin to the coresponding pin in the osd ? sould i do anything else other that that ? is there a (-) rnd wire too ?

thank you !

update:
i did it .. but i get reading of 0.3 ~ 0.6 on my OSD .. is it normal ?

The - wire is ground, I thought is obvious.
Buffered means you can connect it directly to OSD, and it's a good thing.
No, it's not normal, if you mean 0.3 ~ 0.6 are Volts. Should be a broader range, as in the picture. Does your OSD provide any calibration for RSSI ?

Hi;
Is there anyone who knows the RSSI pin of the Airtronics-Sanwa 92824 8ch 2.4 Ghz receiver? I checked the internet and there is not an information about this. There is only one web site. It says that the LED blinks while the distance between TX and RX increases. When the distance increases, the time between blinks increases. I am thinking of measuring the intervals between the blinks by using a microcontroller and making an estimation for the signal strength. The distance will be measured by using GPS coordinates and I will try to derive a function for the interval time vs distance. Is it a reliable way for RSSI?

The photos of the receiver were also attached. Maybe there is RSSI pin somewhere on the board.

I don't think most 2.4ghz RX's have rssi. But you could try to make and RC filter to slow charge a capacitor which would give you different voltages depending on the duration of the LED pulse. IE, an analog RSSI.

It different for every receiver and osd. Basically you need to connect a wire from the rssi pin on the receiver to the rssi input pin on the osd. Some need an rssi buffer and some do not. Your best bet is to search for posts containing your receiver model and "rssi", then read the manual or search the thread for your osd.

Did some one knew where is RSSI pin?
RX: walkera WX-RX 2801 Pro
Chip: ATMEGA88
I'm searching around for this as well because my electronics is zilch .

Has anyone found the RSSI pin for the RX-2801pro?

Do all receivers have this signal?

How did you guys with other receivers determine the right pin?

Any help on how to determine this is much appreciated . Please someone?

i3dm, I searched and missed this too - probably because I was looking for 'orange', but check Renatoa's post 235

Just soldering mine up at the moment.
