BEDE BD-5 Plans?

One of my favorite planes is the BEDE BD-5 and BD-5J. I was wondering if anyone has seen plans for a sport model in foam or balsa. Hardest part I can see is the balance with the motor way in the back.

There is a balsa ARF available, a few balsa plans for sale.
There is a profile somewhere in this forum. Foamies (scratchbuilt)
Do a search for BD-5.

Daniel.

There's a 17-inch version of Nick de Carlis' balsa model in one of the threads on this forum, Seach for "bd-5a" and you should find it.

Actually I was up late last night and looking around I founda few threads on Dave Blum's work.
Emailed him and he sent me the PDF's for his BD-5.

I want to see if I can adapt it to FFF.

I know this is an ancient thread, but thought I'd make a post. I have returned to modeling after a 30 year layoff, and am enjoying flying scale foam electric models after building F/F scale models exclusively. The BD-5A was my first published construction article, in Model Airplane News. I was in college at the time and was paid $150 as I recall, which seemed like a fortune at the time, around 1980.

I'm amazed that my plan is "out there" in the internet. Also amazing? The actual peanut scale BD-5A photographed for the article survives in a box, although I won't vouch for the condition...

I still have an original Bede brochure for the BD-5A, which included his own three views as I recall -- I have to hunt, but sure I have it.

Bd-5

Honestly, if you want a really cool BD-5 in a pusher jet. Lockey makes a great depron example. Flies great and is easy to build. Check out easyjets in the scratch build forum.

I make CNC cut BD-5 kits from two different designers.
Lockey is from Perth Australia
http://www.hoosiercutoutservice.com/planes/lockey.htm

and Vliesie is from South Africa
http://www.hoosiercutoutservice.com/planes/marcel.htm

Both have plans on their threads and they are free.
