World Soaring Masters

Hi all,
Anybody else as excited as I am to go to the Masters ?

I haven't been ANYWHERE in a LONG time, since I have a bad back that can't take much of a drive anymore.

My siginificant other, Donna, said she would drive me there for my birthday, which is the 18th.

So I get to lay on the floor of the van and day dream about flying with a bunch of freinds I haven't seen in a long time, and alot of new friends I met only by phone & emails.

I don't even care how the flying goes, I have 3 days to pick on Gordy!

We will be there by noon on Thursday for some flying, anybody else coming Thur. to fly ?

What a nice way to travel... Glad you are coming Dave. Jeannie won't be there this time. Missed you guys in Chicago for the Team Selection contest. Jeannie had fun cruisin' Chicago and seeing the sights.

Anyway, I will be there Thursday setting up and fine tuning some relatively new gliders.

I can't wait either. Should be a real fun event. And for sure a fun time hanging with all of our flying buddies.

See you in a week.

I know a lot of us are coming in Wednesday evening so we can set the field Thursday and do some flying. Just as you guys, am really looking forward to getting to fly this event, it is looking to be the real deal.

Watch out on Dave though, he is sandbagging all of us.

I and three other Austin pilots will be there on Thursday.

About 100 pilots signed up. This should be really a great time.

Yeah, here's the sandbagger hard at work practicing today.
Think I'll leave the planes home next time, cuts into my nap time.

I missed part of the nats, because of work, I missed f3b team select because of work, I will NOT miss the masters because of work.

I hear that he is going to be "sick" on Friday.

I'll miss Friday, but I'll be there to help out on Saturday and Sunday.

Man, I am really jealous. I started a new job this week, not knowing that I would have the Friday before the Masters off. I want to go so bad.

Good luck to you all, I am sure you will have an awesome time.
