Lancaster...finally


After ages , I converted the old video to DVD and maessed about in Windows Movie Maker, here are the first and seconf flights of my Peter Holland Lancaster mentioned in this thread.......still flying on the same motors !!!

wow!! She flies great!!! how did you do the rudder control? I'm going to make a rc plane that has that kind of tail.

yea! but how do you make the small rudders work? I bet people rather just use ailerons and elavator but i want the rudders on my plane to work too! planes posted are examples for those that don't understand what i mean.

Easiest way? Differential thrust controlled by the rudder stick You'll get better yaw control that way.

Actually, check out my blog on my Skymaster. Similar tail there too. Servo is installed onto the horizontal stab. If you can hide the servo pretty well, that would be much better for the scale planes.

Very nice!

I was lucky to get to see a real one fly at the Gathering of Mustangs warbird (full-scale) show in Columbus OH last September 2007. Standing 30yards away from those four engines starting up was a real treat!

They are truly majestic birds, especially on the bombing runs.....

Hi there, no rudder control I'm afraid, the tail wheel is steerable for ground handling, but thats all. Aileron and Elevator control the flight.....and you can do nice flat turns if you want to with just these control surfaces.
