Hello!

Today i had first fly with DSLR onboard fotocamera Olympus E420 + 14=42 lens = 0.65 kg (with servo for shot)

First test photos:

Crop 100%

Fulsize image 5Mbytes (jpeg 1:1, quality compresion rate 70%) http://vorona.org/files/Ya_full.jpg

For DSLR Oly 420 Used carrier my RED WOLF SPAD - https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=299 - E-flight Power-60 brushless motor with APC 15x10-E prop. + Lipo Hyperion 4250mAh, Tirnigy Plush 80A controler, HXT servos

REDWOLF airplane:

now www.vorona.org present small video of my Red Wolf airplane

DSLR carrier electric SPAD "RedWolf" airplane (1 min 56 sec)

info::: electric SPAD "RedWolf" airplane Slow-flying style airplane for aerial photograrhy with DSLR camera on-board. This is short special test fly with back-point CG (heavy-tail mode). Added ballast 1 kg (35 oz ballast) (metal parts into centersection of the wing).

sorry my bad english....

This is my WASP and RED WOLF electric spad plane - 1000+Wt/ Used with EFlight Power 60 and TURNIGY motors Lipo 3700 30C or 4250 20C LiPo/ Now i mount DSLR Oly 420 into WOLF)))

******

my WASP SPAD modified - with pussher wankel + APS 9x6P

This Idea is to use Wasp as DSLR carrier (Oly E-420 14-42 mm = 640 g weight).

At last photo You can see RED poket - any metal parts = weight 700 gramm.

I use two Futaba 350 and 351 airplane giros - strong bad wind - no problem for WASP)))))))....

DSLR carrier Wasp SPAD rc-airplane, OS Wankel (2 min 25 sec)

***

I had hard landing in final of 2-nd flight, but no problem!

This sdad very durable and strong! 5 minutes later i start my Wasp again))))))))

S.P.A.D.-Wankel plane takeoff/landing (0 min 33 sec)

Those are some great looking and performing planes.
Those crops are pretty impressive especially considering a: that you're on a moving platform and b: you're cam is only at 5.5 MP. That really speaks volumes for the quality of the DSLR sensors.

Those planes and pictures look very good Vorona .
Incedently I also have an E-flite Power 60 with a 15 x 10 prop that I am planning to use for a camera plane so I am very interested in what you have done.
I did notice that your airfoil profile is very thick , what is the dimentions of your wing?the height of you spar , span and chord?

Great designed planes well made and flown very well. The pictures are great! I'm curious, which of your planes do you like the best? Or, do they all fly about the same? Thanks for sharing. I recently picked up some coroplast and I am going to try to make a plane from it.

Welll.....

U CAN NOT VIEW how reraly the RedWolf fly, because this video is experiment with very rear/back point CG

With normal CG point it fly veryvery stable. Wing area ~60 dm2

-----------

Volk size in mm (metric)

Wasp is other plane, because wing area less, wing loading 75 g/dm2/ But it fly very well - becaise airfoil profile is very thick - i like very thick airfoil (16%.... 18%... 20%!!!), i use it on funfly and flyingwing.

*****************************

Wasp: All sizes in milimeters

I use gyros Futaba 351 - ailerons and 350 - elevator - it fly like it have fine autopilot...

Sometime i use gyro 351 for RedWolf ailerons for more stable in wind-weater.

Used Coroplast is 2 mm and 3 mm

Cool looking airplanes, that airfoil looks like it should fly slow and lift a ton.

I have a question, in the pictures that you took of the town from the air, I see alot of really bright different colored roofs. Are those all metal roofs?
