That's great to hear! I haven't been active on Sketchucation for the last 4 or 5 months so I wouldn't be surprised to hear of the problematic ones updated. The issue, IIRC, had to do mostly with a change in the Ruby version that caused incompatibilities in some scripts.

As for specific, well, if I'm still using the older ones, I guess I'd still have issues. I need to update my plugins a bit it seems.

So, for anyone who wishes to take my advice on SU7, please do so with a grain of salt ... lol

Cheers.

Has anyone had this problem? I try to use SU7 and it just tells me to get SU8 and won't load the file in to SU7.

if you are extruding a complex surface, you may need to press the control key to create a new starting face. That leaves the original face in place and extrudes with a new face. I'm using V7, and just checked, looks like most of the time it creates a new face automatically, but I know I've had to use the control key to get a face on both ends.

Ya I figured out that it was created in SU 8. So downloaded 8 and it worked great. Thanks Wilfor

Just had the same problem. I have been running SU7 quit happily until a friend sent me a file to work on that he had created in SU8. Finally had to break down and download it and install. I will probably primarily use 7 myself still for my own work.

Tip

For any file created in SU8 that you'd like converted to SU7, simply open the file in SU8 goto File>Save As and at the bottom of the dialog box click the "Save as type" drop down box and select the version of SU to save the file as.

True, but I still had to download and install SU8. No big, I am working with it now and so far so good. I just need to get all of my plug-ins installed.

You can do it in Photoshop if you have it. It is a pain though but can be done.

Yes. There is a Java-iText program, UPDF_GUI, written by Bill Segraves, that can untile a tiled PDF It is packaged as an executable JAR file, similar to the packaging of ScaleAndTile3.

You should also be able to use a graphics-editing program that can import PDFs, importing the pages, one-at-a-time, and pasting them into your workspace.

Cheers,
Bill Segraves

Thank you davereap! I have been looking for that for a while now. Just what I needed. Now if I can only fix the glue tabs errors.....
