Don't joke around ok you really don't use oven cleaner do you?

I fly the trojan at crazy speeds and see the wings flex, I just love to see that.

I will have three spars in total when I am done. No four , no six in total. lol

My trojan has them all over the plane inbedded in the foam. more than 12 feet of the stuff.

corsair will have three in the main wing one on the rear wing and two along the fuse
and maybe small multiple ones circling the firewall

I place them kind of like when you braid something
will post pics one day

this one will be light

The easy off did not even make a DENT in the paint. I have moved onto automotive brake cleaner.

Working on the wing now. The Spar looks just like the Starmax Hawker Hurricane.

I think the rudder should be re hinged <as should the ailerons as well> and a CF mod to the vertical stab into the fuse is not a bad idea either.

Some sort of support for the push rods <elevator/rudder> might also be a good idea as well.

NEAT fair here I come!

Did any paint come off yours?

I have tossed mine in the back of my car, in Florida, during the summer. It bounces around there, up and down dirt roads. I belly land it, and not a bit of paint has come off mine.

I wonder if there was a bad batch maybe?

I want pics!

Will you be doing anything to smooth the surface? Spackle, fiberglass?

Do you have a unique color scheme yet?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Got back from the NEAT fair today. A few Parkzone Corsairs were flying about and they looked nice. Not fast by any means, however in the noon demo they showed aerobatic capabilities above my flying.

Tonight I started with the basics. All the glue joins joined by the factory with what looks like hot melt glue were re done. I favor Mercury brand CA to do this.

Down each side of the fuse I have run CF rod. From the firewall to just about the tail wheel plate. More CA and hot melt glue here. Inside the fuse I also used fiberglass packing tape to help stiffen the foam in general. Between the rods, tape and glue the fuse is darn stiff now.

Added 4 more magnets to retain the hatch to the fuse.

The vertical stab now has a CF rod buried in it to add rigidity. Added more strapping tape for the hinges on the rudder.

Added CF rod to the horizontal stab. More tape on the elevator as well.

Bear with me, Ill post photos when I get a chance.

Yet to do a wing spar. Still working on the fuse. All I have done to the wing is pull out the plastic gear attach pieces and fill the holes. Oh, I also re-glued the stock spar and filled the gouges left behind when they cut the foam for it. Guess they used a dull knife!

If It only gains 2ozs in beef up mods Ill be VERY happy! Sure looked like a floater at it's current weight.

More sanding/filling the fuse tonight if work permits.
