Latest Addition to the SwitchBack Squadron

Hi Guys!

My SB 3D is ready to go, just waiting for the weather to get nice enough to fly. This was my first balsa kit, and it was a blast to build.

The plane is stock except for the following mods:

1. Made the engine mount removable with a small pice of bly behind the bulkhead and a servo screw. Also screwed the gearbox to the engine mount.

2. Put the landing gear on backwards to help nose-overs in grass.

Here are a few pics. It was my first attempt at covering, I kept it simple, and it came out better than I expected

A shot with the snow in the background.

Thanks for all the help and advice from Ezone during the building and covering process. Also, thanks to Doug at Mountain Models for making such a great and inexpensive kit. I'll be sure and post after the maiden, which may not be for a while with the weather here in NY

Thanks Guys!

I just may have to order one of the "new" SwitchBacks to build while I'm waiting for the weather to get nice.
