Need some help with mixing.
There isn't any real 'mixing' required. In the 'Model Setup > WingTailMix' list just select 'Dual Aileron" and you're set to go. Of course you may need to adjust the subtrims to center the servos.

Now if you're talking about mixing out knife-edge coupling and the like, that's an entirely different story. Personally I don't bother with that type of adjustment. I just 'mix' it out manually on the fly (pun intended).

Since PA is so insistent about following their setup i thought it would be best if I followed their recommendations with the mixing. The less my dumb thumbs have to do the better! I'm noob to 3D. Also like to have high and low rates set up.

My questions were with the , KE differential, rudder - elevator mixing. (what's everyone using?) is it really needed?

I have had problems with collet adaptors coming off in the past on various brands of motors and really prefer the bolt on type as I have not once had an issue with them.

That being said, I have yet to knock off the PA collet adaptor off of my thrust 40, even though I have tried

You can see on all of my videos that i'm flying on grass, and so far no problems.

No mention in the instructions.
With aluminum shaft and nut I don't want to over tighten.
I have had collett type come off in flight with other planes.
Don't want to do it with this plane.
I always give a little bit of oil to the nut of Aluminum made prop adopter to prevent biting of nut and adopter caused by over tighten. Never come off even other bigger motor and prop.

What do you fly like when your off the Grass? Some of the grass we have up here can be very tricky to fly on

Some people seem to think grass enhances their flying

I don't think that's the case with Dan though; he flies really close to the grass, some would say "under" it but not under it's influence

Finally got my AMR in the other day, and am starting the build. I don't have a sealing iron of any kind and I heard you can use a regular iron as long as you set the temp right. Does anyone know what temp to set it at for the PA covering?

I probably would if I ever wanted to downgrade my Bipe!

On the other hand the PA Thrust 40 would be a swell upgrade for the 47" Extra SR and Velox Revolution! More power for the same juice the GR35 pulls!
