Lazy Bee Plans !!!!

Hey all ...

Just had a few questions about the Lazy Bee.

First of all, how does this thing fly. Has anyone ever flown one and can they tell me more about it?

Also, If I plan on building one of these can I find the plans somewhere or do I have to buy the whole kit?

And what size engine, servos, and fuel tank etc. will it take?

Thanks for any help.

Well, obviously, they fly ! See this video:

Lazy bee cam (4 min 0 sec)

Read the comments below the video, they tell you a lot more than I can about the plane. You might want to contact the poster of the video to get more info.

Good luck ! Jim

Do I have to buy one of these kits or can I find plans somewhere and make it out of my own supplies?

All Clancy Aviation products have been discontinued.

Your only chance is to do a search on RCGroups or RCUniverse, and contact people who have built a Lzy Bee and contact them about the plans.

It doesn't really look like too hard of a project to just scratch-build one from pictures, though.

I already posted WTB down below. It would be nice to find a kit or at least plans. I might make up a few small foam ones just to get back into building.

ALRIGHT!!!!

He emailed me and gave me the plans to not only the Lazy Bee but the Speedy Bee, Yard Bee, and Lady Bug too.

I will begin building this.

I'm going to start a build log and show you guys some of the pictures of when I start to build.

I will put a size .15 to .25 engine on it. Still not sure which size. I'm debating on which to use.

I'll let you guys know when I start work on this plane.

Is this the same guy that had the video I pointed out? Is there any possibility that you can publish the plans here so we can download them ?

Jim,

This is not the same guy who posted the video but he does know what he is talking about.

I will definately post the plans right now. I've just been a little busy lately and haven't gotten around to it. There are a few different ones. There are plans for:

-The Lazy Bee Fuselage (All one sheet and tiled)

-The Lazy Bee Standard 40" Wings (All one sheet and tiled)

-The Lazy Bee Decals (All one sheet and tiled)

-The Lazy Bee Extended 48" Wings

-Speedy Bee Comlete Plans (All in one PDF document)

-Gyro Bee Complete Plans

-Intsructions for the Lady Bug

-Tiled Plans for the Lady Bug

-Yard Bee Fuselage

-Yard Bee Wing

As you can see there are many of them. I will post them ALL for you guys. If anyone builds one of these from these plans, please PM me as I am anxious to see what you guys will do with them.

Thanks for all of the help and here are the plans.

Man, that's fantastic! I will be anxious to see your progress, and have a look at the plans, myself. There is just so MUCH that one would like to accomplish, and so little TIME !

Good luck! Jim
