World Soaring Masters Still Time to Enter

Friends,
The Final preparations for the "Greatest Soaring Contest in the US" are just about complete. This contest was the brainchild of Peter Goldsmith who thought that it was time for the US Soaring Community to come together and have a "Premier Event" to call their own. Not wanting to limit its attraction to just the US flyers, Peter envisioned a Contest of such APPEAL and STATURE that recognized World Competitors from around the World would join us. Well, it has happened, besides all the US Legends including the first Masters winner Mike Smith we also have, Philip Kolb, Mustafa Koc, Murat Esibatir, Arend Borst, JoJo Grini, and David Hobby. Talk about a list of Soarings Whose Who, the WSM is now attracting the big guns. I know this is one contest I would not want to miss, and if you feel the same way, you still have time to RSVP and join in the fun. Go to http://www.worldsoaringmasters.com/index.shtml and sign up today. You don't want to be the guy that says I wish I would have been there. See you in a month! Larry

Larry J.,

Do you have a good idea of the daily schedule of events over the three-day period? When will flying begin and end each day? This info will help me time my visit to the event (as a spectator).

Thanks,

FF

FF -
This is pulled from the website referenced above by Larry:

Dates: September 19-21, 2008

The competition days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8 - 5. Thursday is setup day.

I'd add that if the weather is decent (looks good right now) there will be sport flying after the competition as well. Some new and fun things usually occur in the evenings.

Thanks for the info. I thought that I saw the info somewhere, but was having trouble relocating it.
