How to find quick charge rate?


wondering how to find the rate at which to quick charge a NICD batttery specifically the 8 cell 1100 aau pack. I forgot the equation and i am lame and can't find it.

There is no such equation. Every cell has different requirements. As to this particular cell, I have no idea, but someone will chime in here. You'd be safe at 1A, I can say that!

I would slow charge overnight at no greater than .1A (100mA).

For fast charging, I would charge at 500mA but ensure that a temp probe feedback loop was attached to terminate on temperature in the event that the charger misses the peak.

Is the company name visable ?

The charge rate can be almost anything if you do not want a long life.

Always in a hurry. Some are not bothered by a 5 C charge.

IF HAS BEEN CHARGED A FEW TIMES at Marks 1/2 C rate to fully activate all surfaces of the cell.

I will see if I can find any thing about the AA U cell rates.

Go to www.batteryuniversity.com look up about charging NICADS very good information about how many cycles are needed to fully activate the cell.
