Ok... some news for the electronic vaper's out there ( aka e-cig folk )

I'm afraid this will sound a lot like a spam for GotVapes... because this info for the most part is from what I got in their forum area on ECF... but it has some cool stuff so here it goes...

First up... the Viva Nova v2.5 3.5ml ( probably closer to 2.8-3ml ) Tank w/510 threading

I'm uncertain of who of you that may have tried out the VN v1 as I had... but it had major problems with flavor ( had none almost ) and the replaceble heads had a lot of QC issues ... to put it bluntly... IT SUCKED big time and that is no pun.

The VN v2.5 has addressed all of the issues I've read about ( and experienced ). The flavor is almost as good as a bridgeless atty ( so I'm told ), it doesn't leak like the Stone was known to do, and like it's predecessor ( the Stone and earlier VN )... it's easily disassembled and cleaned.

The heads are replaceable or rebuildable... they cost between $2.50 - 2.95 each.

This is everything I have wanted... As I mentioned, they are available at GotVapes and I've seen them on one other site ( but can't remember where ). Other vendors are listing v2.0 and I also hear pretty good reports on those as well. From what I've read... v2.5 is just a minor update to the v2.0

In a couple of weeks or so... they should also have a 2.0ml version which would be a better fit size-wise to the eGo size PV's ( using a collar to clean up the look a bit. ) and also will use the same replaceable heads as the VN uses.... Oh, one more thing, if you have a VN v1... these new heads work on it but I've had a bit of leaking with them... the flavor is almost as good as the all v2.5 system.

The next bit ... They have now released a Rebuildable Vision Ego Stardust 1.6ml.... This also uses heads that are compatible with the VN v2.5 and are available now. These are also easily disassembled for cleaning and should taste as well as the VN since it uses the same basic head. Here is a pic ...

The rest of this is for the "coming soon" stuff that GV has posted on ECF... I have no timeframe to pass on... so your guess is as good as mine. Still, these are cool looking products none the less. Also since they have yet to be released, I can't pass on any reports of how good or bad these may be...

Phoenix RAVEN Line 3.5ml & 5ml Hybrid Phoenix System
While this looks like a standard carto tank... It actually uses a bottom coil ( CE3?) carto instead of a fiber polyfil type carto...

The Hyper SRT ( similar to a Genesis type of tank )

Smok Tech Telescopic Mechanical ST MOD

Takes any of 16340 , 18350, 18500 or 18650 batteries....Insert the battery and the unit telescopes or collapses down (or adjusts up) to whatever battery you are using, no extension needed to screw in or unscrew. Completely mechanical button at base with locking feature so as not to accidentally fire or to allow you to set it vertically on your desk...

Now I'll return you to your regularly scheduled off-topic topic...

I think the Viva Nova v2 is better than the RAVEN in flavor and vapor plus it has the threaded end caps.
I like the V2's longer wicks but I'm still checking durability. I have had issues with plugging or having restricted air flow with different mods/batteries.
I wish they would pull the old style short wick replacable coils but until the stock is used up, the new longer wick coil heads won't be available.

Ric, thanks for posting about the wicks on the Viva Nova heads... It was late and I forgot to even mention that portion of having different wicks available on them.

There wasn't a general concensus on which type of wick was better as it appeared to be which juice was being wicked or the convienence of not having to tilt as much with longer wicks as you would with the shorter ones. On the juices I'm vaping, the shorter wicks really enhanced the flavor but also make me vape with my PV almost horizontal towards the end of the tank full... GV's said they are going to stock the longer wicks so users can choose which way they want, if you want a short wick just trim it down.

I hate hearing about the Raven having less flavor and I already had reservations about how easily it cleans compared to the VN which is almost stupid simple to maintain.

At the same time, I've got 4 DTC type tanks that I could put back into rotation if these are not too much of a drawback. The juices I vape most are dark tobacco's and they clog a polyfil carto in less than a tankful. Cleaning them by backflushing is a PITA and I end up loosing a 1-1.5ml of juice when they clog. I also prefer the looks of the DTC tank over the Vivi tank, but obviously that is just a personal preference issue only.

The 1.6ml Stardust v2's that I've tried were ok with only a slight muted flavor... so the move to the new heads and being able to clean easier... will certainly make these a favorite with many folks. The 1.6ml capacity will be a nice amount for the juices I still like a lot but seldom get in a mood to vape. Of course, the 2.0ml VN tank will work well for this size capacity also and it won't require a 510-eGo adapter if you use just a 510 device.

What he said x2
I went from 2.5-3 packs a day to 0 in about 14 days thanks to E-cigs. I smoking started at 18 when I joined the Army and smoked for 28 years.

I use the lite colored juices, mostly a mix I've got my local Vape shop mixing, Vanilla Bean, lite-Cinnamon over a RY4 base, 50/50-PG/VG or 70/30 @ 16mgs.
The issue of having to tilt or lay my mod down to wet the wick is why I like the longer wicks.

The only PA plane I have had was the amr and it took a ton of work also. It flew nice and light but will crumble in a crash any EF or 3dhs plane would survive unscathed so be careful

Can't wait for the crash. Happy to sell the motor and get that one out of the system.
