mith - great job! Hey, I think I saw you flying g4 online the other night and you were trying to chat w/ me...but I couldn't remeber which key I hit to talk (duh, I figured it out right after you left). Anyway, I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just being stupid. Lemme know next time you fly online!

I got my Dad G4.5 for X-mas and it didn't work great on his old Nvidia6200 card . So I got him to buy a 512mb ddr2 7600gs from NewEgg.com for $50 . I still had problems getting it to run the framerates . I finally figured out the two settings on G4.5 that make the greatest difference after about 2hrs of trial and error . There is a on or off for a setting called Blossum . This setting creates a blurred view for objects in the distance , I think . Turn this off . And finally I turned textures down to medium and with the photofields now I was able to get 250FPS . The non-photo fields with drop the FPS down some and the water non-photo fields will drop it even more. Of course I still keep the graphics up for water cause it's no fun if you can't see the splash .

I'm still flying G3.5 and enjoy it plenty .

Josh Nice Video, I've learned alot from them thank you again for doing these. I was wondering do you still have the clicks left in your throttle stick? I'm having trouble finding the sweet spot when harrier and hovering and was wondering if I took out the clicks if it would help?

I have a little bit of ratchet left, but honestly, I'm used to parking my throttle "in between" the ratchet. The other option is to always be goosing the throttle to get the sweet spot. In all honesty, in 3D, you should always be moving something .
