ESC hook up

This may be a dumb question, i don't know.

Say I get a radio that comes with 2 servos. I need an ESC. Does the ESC plug right into the reciever instead of the servo? If so and the connecters are not the same can i get an adapter or re wire a connector?

Thanks in advance.

Obviously, we don't.

Thanks in advance.
The ESC plugs into the throttle channel of your receiver. All ESCs I've used come with a servo-type plug, which goes straight into my receiver without any modification. They use a Hitec/JR type plug, which so far as I know, will plug into any modern receiver. Only problem is, it can go into some receivers (e.g. Futaba) either way round. No damage is done if it's wrong way, it simply won't work. The negative and signal wires (black and white, or brown and orange or yellow) should always be facing the same way when they're plugged in, so just observe which way your servos are plugged in, and plug your ESC the same way round
