Homemade Light Kit + Soldering Knockoff Deans - *PICTURES*

Well, I literally JUST finished. Oooh, pretty colorss.
Though, I am quite mad at myself IDidn't givemyself enough wire to reach front end and back end, so I'm just gonna have to use this for my off roader, and act as extra headlamps (2 white, 2 red, 1 green, 1 blue).
Will put up a pic when mounted on my Evader EXT.
Going to be making another kit for my EMaxx, and another for my TT-01, then another one for my future ESavage (in transit, via ups) Should get here the 5th.

Now, for knockoff deans from hobbycity.
Ripped open the box (well, didn't do much, since it was already ripped..), and found my 3 packs of x10 pair of deans, and my 3meters of heatshrink. Yeah, I know, 3 METERS!?

I'm going to be takin out a box of my ESCs, my batteries, my chargers, so I can solder these up. Looks like it's gonna be a soldering day for me.

Woke up at 5, went running, went swimming at 6, ate breakfast, and played piano (hehe). Started soldering at 8oclock, and now it's 2:13.
Sigh, probably gonna be soldering until 5. Anyone wanna bake me some cookies?

Hehe,, mmmm sounds good.
Burned myself, oh, only.... 8 times?
I have a nice one on my middle finger (on the tip, where it touches other surfaces, etc?) and it feels nice. [/sarcasm]
Deans are a PAINT to get on with a sharp tip, gonna look around for a flat tip, so it's easier.
Took forever to solder up my Evader XL-5, and yet, I cut it too short. Sigh.

Well, the chocolate would melt unless it was shipped in a frozen box, then it would be yummy

Yeah, I'm gonna finish my Deans, and will get some pictures.
Mounting it is gonna be a toughie.

LOL, Yes, I have made the cookies before. I'm going to study Culinary Arts when I get a chance to go back to school, and Restaurant Management. Then gonna open my own chain of restaurants. Gonna start either around Portland, OR or Spokane, WA. And the cookies will be a featured dessert item. A whole batch (about 60 cookies) lasted about 2 days between 3 people. I had to make 3 batches just to last the week at work. LOL. I make good french bread too, better than a grocery store I've been told. I also make a KILLER Thanksgiving meal. Hand-made garlic-butter mashed potatoes, candied yams, hand-made stuffing, a lemon and herb turkey that is so moist and yummy you can't stop eating it, AND THE SKIN, oh my gosh, the skin is to die for. I mash 2 sticks of butter with lemon zest and fresh rosemary, then fork about 2/3 under the skin and slide it all over, and coat the outside of the turkey with the rest, then I stuff the inside with 2 lemons (quartered), an onion (also quarted), and a thing of garlic (cut in half across the grain). And hand-made turkey gravy, made from the drippings. Anyone else being made hungry by this? LOL

Oooh and yes, I'm getting pictures up tonight.
Just finished playing piano (45 min in the morning, and 60 min at night.) Gonna get some stuff done around the house, and it's already 9:11. Should be done by 9:30, will get unmounted pictures, then mounted. Everything all and all, should be up before 11:30 PM Pacific time.

Oh, and for the Knockoff Deans.
These are great, I haven't tried the REAL deans, but these have ribs the whole thing.
They were VERY tight, added some petroleum jelly to each contact (+ and -), let it sit for about 2 hours, and it was nice and smooth. Even worked with the REAL deans (bought a bike with REAL deans, and they fit even smoother).

Here are the pictures. They were due for long ago, but I had some technical difficuilties, aka, my rear light completely snapped. Resoldered a new temporary one (will make it up when I make my new set for my other vehicles), and had to take it out.

The pictures are TOO dark.
It was set on max brightness.
These lights are just INSANELY bright. superbrightleds.com (not advertising!)
Headlights were just as I wished they were. They combined on the ground, and made one (meh, didn't matter if it was two beams or one.) beam.
They looked like they were on the roof, like an off roader, and seemed like it was extra headlights. It was AMAZING.
Absolutely loved it. When I ran outside, my parents came with me (outside in my yard) because they thought it was one of my best projects I've done, (they just didn't wanna say that it looked cool )

Anywho, I'll let the pictures talk for them selves. Just don't think these are what they are.
I was running at a very low 9V, so it was real dim.
Also, I couldn't get any videos, mainly because my parents just don't know how to use my camera, and it didn't really pick up the car as well as pictures did. Hope you enjoy it.

(PS, I know, it looks incredibly lame )
(PS2, I added straws to the green and blue, so it looked like streetglow bars. Looks actually nice, besides it looks really ugly)

Sorry for so many links, it's in 17", and didn't wanna take up 9 pages for 4 pictures
In 17" size, so you can see the brightness better.
